CO-OPS National Workshop, Sydney Hilton, October 20 & 21 2010
The 2010 CO-OPS National workshop is a unique event bringing together practitioners, researchers and funding bodies working in community-based obesity prevention to learn from each other, promote best practice and develop professional networks. Run over two days at the Hilton in Sydney, the workshop is free to attend.
The dynamic event will include keynote speakers, presentations from practitioners, workshop sessions and peer-led concurrent sessions. Please note the details below if you would like to submit an abstract to have your work included as part of the program.

Keynote speakers include Professor Boyd Swinburn, the Alfred Deakin Professor of Population Health and Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Obesity Prevention at Deakin University and Co-Chair of the International Obesity Task Force (IOTF) and Associate Professor Steve Allender, Director of the CO-OPS Collaboration at Deakin University. Also a representative from the Department of Health and Ageing will provide an overview of current government initiatives to address obesity, including the Government's response to the National Preventative Health Strategy.
Abstracts and Posters
Do you have an interesting story to tell, be it a marvellous success or gruesome failure? Then present at this year's CO-OPS National Workshop. Your colleagues can learn from your successes and particularly the bits you would do differently next time.
Oral presentations will be for 20 minutes plus questions, and there will also be opportunities for poster presentations.
